Dr. Tom Mitchell, best-selling author, Veterinarian, renowned concept trainer and Clinical Animal Behaviourist, founded Behavet a decade ago, and his innovative training methods are followed by millions of owners worldwide. Tom’s mission is to bring canine behaviour knowledge to as many owners as possible, dedicating much of his time to teaching veterinary and dog training professionals about games and reward-based techniques.

Passionate about achieving results in even the toughest cases, Tom loves helping owners realise the dream they had when getting a dog. With his diverse dog family, he showcases how games-based training applies to any breed, and he recently launched Help! My Dog—a programme empowering owners to understand and address their dogs’ behaviour at home.

Dr. Anita is a seasoned Veterinarian, Clinical Animal Behaviourist, and certified dog trainer. She holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (University of Queensland) and a Master of Veterinary Studies (Murdoch University), along with advanced qualifications in small animal cardiology and companion animal behaviour.

At Behavet, Anita consults on complex behaviour cases, especially those involving health elements. She is passionate about solving multi-dog household challenges, drawing from her own experience with her three rescue dogs: Betty, Pickle, and Billie Jean. A recent success includes helping a Spaniel recover from severe aggression due to hormone imbalance, restoring her to a balanced, affectionate companion in just six weeks.

Dr. Aston has been an integral part of the Behavet clinical team for years, bringing expertise as both a Veterinarian and a certified dog trainer. She holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Bristol and dual PgCerts in Small Animal Medicine and Clinical Animal Behaviour. Aston’s unique approach integrates games-based training, helping owners and their pets achieve sustainable transformation.

Specialising in high-drive dogs, Aston draws from hands-on experience with her own Border Collie, Doug. She is especially passionate about reactivity cases, celebrating many client “wins” that empower owners to enjoy life with fulfilled, happy pets.

Liz is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing with Applied Animal Behaviour and an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln. A certified dog trainer, she specialises in noise sensitivity and separation anxiety, drawing from personal experience with her dog, Bailey, and achieving numerous client successes.

Liz is also a resident cat behaviour specialist at Behavet, inspired by her own cat, Frank. She focuses on resolving handling aggression and inappropriate play, believing small lifestyle adjustments can significantly improve feline behaviour and quality of life in a home environment.

Dr. Bea, an experienced Veterinarian and passionate dog lover with five dogs of her own, began her career at the Royal Veterinary College, earning her Bachelor’s in Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She later obtained a General Practitioner Certification in Cardiology and has completed multiple advanced dog training courses.

Bea enjoys consulting on various behaviour cases, with a special focus on reactivity. Her personal experience training her own reactive dog, Lyra, has deepened her understanding of the unique bond between owners and reactive dogs. Outside of work, Bea spends time with her dogs doing scent work, agility, and enjoying pub lunches on weekend walks.

Dr. Lily is a dedicated Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Veterinarian with a passion for canine behaviour. After earning her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Glasgow, Lily pursued further qualifications, including VetCPD Companion Animal Behaviour and “Dog-Friendly Clinician” status. Also a certified Pro Dog Trainer, she enjoys working with dogs on noise sensitivity and chase struggles, inspired by her own Border Collie, Fergus.

One of Lily’s successes involved helping a Golden Retriever reduce its chase drive from rabbits to happily walking off-lead beside their owner. Lily also enjoys working with exotic pets and has a growing interest in parrot behaviour.

Dr. Claire is an experienced Veterinarian and Behaviourist with a passion for enhancing dogs' wellbeing. A member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, she earned her BVetMed from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and holds certificates in Cardiology and Advanced Veterinary Practice. Claire specialises in barking, frustration tolerance, and separation anxiety, as well as preparing dogs for vet exams to reduce fear.

Claire’s own dogs, Charlie and Teddy, sparked her interest in behaviour. Games-based training transformed Charlie’s high arousal, and now Claire shares her expertise with clients, focusing on strengthening the bond between dog and owner.

Dr. Amber, a compassionate Clinician and Behaviourist, empowers clients to achieve results through games-based training. A Veterinarian since graduating with honours from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016, Amber has worked internationally, gaining a unique perspective on behaviour and health interactions.

Currently, she practices both behavioural and emergency veterinary care, excelling in cases with multiple complex challenges. Amber is also a certified dog trainer, having completed multiple professional dog training certifications.

Her experience with her own reactive Border Collie, Kevin, ignited her passion for behaviour transformation, helping clients turn struggles into strengths. Outside of work, Amber enjoys countryside rides with her horse, Clown.

Originally from Poland, Dr. Zuzanna is a skilled and energetic Behaviourist and small animal Veterinarian in Sussex. She earned her MSc in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Wrocław, and gained experience across Europe, including in Spain and the Czech Republic.

In addition to her veterinary work, Zuzanna holds Pro Dog Trainer and Fear Free certifications and is completing a WSAVA nutrition course. Her favourite cases involve anxiety, where she helps pets feel more comfortable and secure. Zuzanna also speaks English, Polish, and Spanish and is happy to consult in any of these languages.

Dr. Celyn is an experienced Veterinary Surgeon and Behaviourist based in North Wales, with a VetMB from Cambridge (2015). She works as a Senior Vet, mentor, and is certified as a Pro Dog Trainer. Passionate about behaviour, her journey began with her reactive dog, Eric, inspiring her to help others overcome similar struggles.

Celyn enjoys Emergency and Critical Care, has a keen interest in exotics, and loves supporting owners in transforming challenging walks. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing and exploring with Eric, her other dog Skye, Geoffrey the cat and Reggie the Python. Celyn is very happy to provide consultations either in English or Welsh!

Dr. Jessie is a skilled Veterinarian and dedicated dog trainer with a passion for Behaviour. She completed her BVetMed at The Royal Veterinary College and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Animal Behaviour from Edinburgh University. Alongside her veterinary practice, Jessie has completed multiple advanced professional dog trainer certifications.

Jessie loves helping dogs and owners thrive, especially with dog-dog reactivity—a struggle she experienced first-hand with her own Border Collie, Berry. With Jessie’s support, clients see transformations, such as a once-reactive Lurcher now calmly meeting dogs. Outside work, Jessie enjoys agility with her dogs and finds it invaluable for understanding sports-related dog Behaviour.

Dr Yolandé earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2014 from the University of Pretoria, following earlier degrees in Psychology and Social Science. Her Master’s dissertation explored how pet-friendly workplaces benefit Employee Assistance Programmes, reflecting her passion for the human-animal bond.

An experienced dog trainer since 2003, Yolandé furthered her skills with multiple professional dog training certifications. Her journey began with her Border Collie, Jessie, and deepened through training Ziva, a reactive dog, giving her insight into complex behaviours. Today, she enjoys Flyball, recently started sheep herding, and keeps her four Border Collies fit with canine yoga.

Dr. Zoe is a dedicated Veterinarian with extensive behaviour and training expertise. She holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Liverpool (BVSc, MRCVS) and is pursuing a Masters in Clinical Animal Behaviour with the University of Edinburgh. Zoe has completed the first part of her VetCPD in Companion Animal Behaviour and holds professional dog training qualifications.

Passionate about handling, consent work and reactivity issues, Zoe enjoys helping clients strengthen their bonds with their dogs. Her dog, Ginny, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, has inspired her training approach. Outside work, Zoe enjoys trick training with Ginny, currently perfecting her skateboard skills.
